Steve Miller Band
Call him the Gangster of Love. Call him Maurice. You can even call him the Midnight Toker or Space Cowboy. Everybody knows that Steve Miller speaks the pompitous of love. Performing live Saturday, June 22, 2013.
The Improv at Harveys
The best-known name in stand-up comedy, The Improv Comedy Club presents hilarious Lake Tahoe shows from two new comics every week in the Cabaret Theater at Harveys.
"A lot of artists can tell you how they feel," says Tim McGraw, "but when somebody can tell you how you feel, and you didn't know it or couldn't put it into words, that's the goal. What you want to do as an artist is let someone discover how they feel from your music, in a really visceral way, from the inside out." Don't miss this show on, Tuesday, July 16, 2013.
With the release of Changed, the trio's eighth studio album, is a great case in point. The CD debuted at #1 on the Billboard Country Albums chart, giving them the distinction of being one of only four acts to have seven consecutive studio albums debut in the top spot. Watch them live, Friday, July 19, 2013.
Evening with Phish
In a 2012 live review, the SF Weekly praised Phish’s “undeniably infectious appeal,” noting: “a live Phish show is a wholly unique experience…Songs like ‘Possum,’ ‘Tweezer,’ and perennial fan favorite ‘Run Like An Antelope’ were positively thrilling rides of sonic confluence” while the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette observed: “the lawn was absolutely packed -- the usual turnout -- and it was difficult to find anybody who wasn't having the time of his life.” “[The] quartet still has the ability to surprise…The Hollywood Bowl has rarely been as ebullient as it was on Monday,” said the L.A. Times Music Blog in a review of a sold-out 2011 show. Rolling Stone recently named Phish as one of “The New Immortals” – current bands that the magazine predicts “will stand the test of time.” Experience the band yourself, Tuesday, July 30, & Wednesday, July 31, 2013.
Fun. with very special guest Tegan & Sara
Close your eyes. Okay, no wait — open them because you need to keep reading — but close them in spirit. Now pretend fun. is not a band, but an amusement park. Just replace the guitar with a log flume and the percussion with a carousel. See the incredible attraction Tuesday, August 27, 2013.
Brad Paisley, Chris Young & Lee Brice
Brad Paisley, Chris Young & Lee Brice perform live at Lake Tahoe Outdoor Arena at Harvey's. Check it out Friday, August 30, 2013.
Dave Matthews Band with special guest
Gary Clark Jr.
Dave Matthews is a lover, not a fighter. Yet when it comes to "Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King," he’s suddenly more pugilist than pacifist. “I keep saying, ‘I could either play you the record, or I could just punch you right in the face.’ It would be different, but there’s a similarity,” he insists. “Do you want to hear my new record, or should I just hit you?” Watch this smashing concert Wednesday, September 4, 2013.
